Located in the beachfront estate, Whitehaven, this four bedroom, four bathroom architecturally designed home was to act as a luxurious holiday rental and retreat for their bustling, fully grown family. A fresh palette of colours with a strong emphasis on natural fibres, textures and finishes were used throughout the hub of the home to emulate a coastal yet contemporary feel to the property.
Oversized, super-comfortable sofas and armchairs custom upholstered in hues of aqua, mint and oatmeal included to cater to the ebb and flow of family and friends. A spectacular 3 metre long Tasmania Oak dining table, the work of a local furniture artisan, was accompanied by sophisticated upholstered dining chairs using textile designer Julie Patterson's range Cloth Fabric. Seen from every angle of the home, the Birds Nest pendants were incorporated to frame the dining area and add a three dimensional element to the space.Durable all weather outdoor furniture creates an easy transition from beach to home, lap pool to lounge. Mokum Textiles Aitutaki range of bright stripes adds classic style, yet vibrance to each of these areas.
