BARRA RESIDENCE

When one of your longest standing customers advises they are building the home of their dreams you jump straight at the opportunity to consult with them on the creative brief of the home. A stunning architectural masterpiece by local firm, The Aboda Group, this easy living home with spectacular ocean views needed to encompass the eclectic style of the owners whilst maintaining the integrity of the contemporary style of the home. Watermelon Red was engaged to consult with the client over the course of a year on colours, fixture and fitting selections whilst providing styling guidance and sourcing key furniture pieces to draw the main spaces of the home together. The result was a fresh, sophisticated space with pops of colour, texture and ethnic influence throughout.

“Bri has helped me choose some great pieces of furniture, artwork and furnishings over the years for a number of our properties. She always manages to source just the right piece.  It was wonderful working with her on our new beach house build, we chose fabulous light fittings, mirrors, furnishings and some stand-out pieces of furniture and artwork.  Thanks a million Bri!”

PICNIC POINT

Watermelon Red was engaged to project manage this 1970's investment property our PNG based clients had owned for 10 years +. The brief was to strip and rebuild the property with a fresh coastal vibe with eye catching points of difference. We were engaged to create the design concept, consult on the colour finish and surface selections, liaise and project manage the build with Ward Builders as well as supply and install a bespoke furniture package. Capitalising on the incredible view the property has, a palette of layered blues, sea greens and chartreuse was used to seamlessly reflect the outside environment. Paired with eye catching prints and intricate textures created a refreshing, contemporary space the owners will be able to enjoy family holidays on for years to come.

'Watermelon Red worked closely with me to understand my tastes and budget. They were engaged in all aspects of the renovation from design, product and colour selection right through to completion - including overseeing the delivery and installation of all furniture, artwork and soft furnishings. Working with Watermelon Red was a delight. They were client focused, professional, practical, consultative, collaborative and outcome oriented. Furthermore, the communication and attention to detail were excellent. I am thrilled with the renovation, which came in within time and budget. Our unit has been transformed into a contemporary, modern Coast retreat. I cannot thank Watermelon Red enough for their assistance and services.'
